The garden up north

8th April 2010

The lights come on in the Kyoto Botanical Garden after dark for about a week during sakura season.

Somei Yoshino, probably the most common kind of sakura in Japan.

Weather forecast was for cherry blossom skies.

Glow-in-the-dark, cone-shaped sakura. Very rare.
